Accellera FSA OCP PCI SIG RapidIO SI2 The SPIRIT Consortium USB VSI Alliance
Accellera was formed in 2000 through the unification of Open Verilog International and VHDL International to focus on identifying new standards, development of standards and formats, and to foster the adoption of new methodologies. Accellera's mission is to drive worldwide development and use of standards required by systems, semiconductor and design tools companies, which enhance a language-based design automation process. Its Board of Directors guides all the operations and activities of the organization and is comprised of representatives from ASIC manufacturers, systems companies and design tool vendors.

The Fabless Semiconductor Association (FSA) is an industry organization established in 1994 to achieve a more optimal balance between wafer supply and demand. Today, our mission has expanded to be the global voice of for fabless and hybrid semiconductor companies and their supply chain partners. Our success can be measured in the dramatic evolution of the attitude toward fabless - from criticized, to respected, to preferred.

OCP-IP is a ground-breaking industry association dedicated to making a common standard for intellectual property (IP) core interfaces, or sockets, that facilitate "plug and play" System-on-Chip (SoC) design. To make complex SoC design a reality for a broader audience, the industry needs a complete socket standard that everyone can use, no matter what their on-chip architecture is, or whose processor cores they're using.

PCI Special Interest Group (PCI-SIG) actively promotes PCI technology through a series of events. Members can test products at compliance workshops, receive PCI training at technical update seminars, participate in industry education and aid in promoting PCI technology at select tradeshows.

The RapidIO Trade Association, a non-profit corporation controlled by its members, directs the future development and drives the adoption of the RapidIO architecture. For networking products, the RapidIO architecture promises increased bandwidth, lower costs, and a faster time-to-market than other more computer-centric bus standards. Interested companies are invited to join the RapidIO Trade Association. Members of the association have access to the RapidIO interconnect architecture specifications. Membership also allows attendance at member meetings.

Si2 is an organization of industry- leading companies in the semiconductor, electronic systems and EDA tool industries. We are focused on improving productivity and reducing cost in creating and producing integrated silicon systems. We believe that through collaborative efforts, the industry can achieve higher levels of systems-on-silicon integration while reducing the cost and complexity of integrating future design systems. Powerful economic

The SPIRIT Consortium is a global organization focused on establishing multi-faceted IP/tool integration standards that drive sustainable growth in electronic design. It is comprised of leading EDA, IP, system integration, and semiconductor companies dedicated to the adoption of a unified set of specifications for configuring, integrating, and verifying IP in advanced SoC design tool sets.

The USB Implementers Forum, Inc. (USB-IF) was established in 1995 to support and accelerate the market and consumer adoption of USB compliant peripherals. Today, the USB-IF has more than 900 member companies and has led the way in helping companies introduce hundreds of USB-compliant products to the market. Members of the USB-IF enjoy many benefits including eligibility to participate in the USB-IF Compliance Program.

VSI Alliance was formed in September 1996 by a group of major EDA and Semiconductor companies with the goal of establishing both a unifying vision for the chip industry and the technical standards required to enable the most critical component of the vision: the mix and match of Intellectual Property (IP) cores* from multiple sources. VSIA recently expanded that vision to include software and hardware IP for Systems-on-a-Chip (SoC) Design, and expanded the organization to include Business Committees and Adoption Groups to meet the growing needs of the IC Industry.
